Is it proper wedding etiquette dress code for a mother to wear the exact same color dress to each of her children’s weddings within the same year? Thank you.

Is it proper wedding etiquette dress code for a mother to wear the same color dress to both of her children’s weddings in the same year? If a particular color suits her best, then she should wear that color to make her feel good. As long as the dresses are not exactly the same shade of, say, blue and it is in a slightly different style. Think about the wedding pictures for the two weddings, because you want to be able to differentiate the two dresses by the different weddings.
Perhaps, one dress is shorter than the other and has a fitted jacket and is a soft, pastel powder blue, and the longer dress has capped sleeves and is a lovely shade of traditional French blue. Then that seems perfectly fine to me. Illustrated here below are three different Lee Andersen special occasion dresses in green.
